Should I learn the Cello or the Violin?

I played the Baritone (Euphonium) for 4 years, and I really loved it, but when I entered highschool, the band...well, it sucked, especially for the supporting role of a baritonist. The music was too easy and way too boring, and I figure now is a good opportunity to learn a new instrument (one with better parts). So I was wondering, should I learn Violin or Cello? I've heard both good and bad things about each instrument, but not much detail, so I was wondering if I could get some help. (preferably from someone who has played both, but any input is good!) :D
