Is it selfish of me to dump my boyfriend because he's not rich enough?

Okay my boyfriend makes $15 an hour. We've been together five months and he's such a nice person and treats me very well, and I love him very much. But this guy at work makes about a 100K salary. We've flirted a bit and he's bought me some very good stuff like expensive chocolates and he even got me an iphone and a nice pair of shoes! My boyfriend would never be able to afford to buy himself such luxuries, let alone me. Out of the blue, my colleague asks me to dump my boyfriend and get with him. I said I loved my boyfriend and I would never think about dumping him. He said Has your boyfriend ever bought you nice stuff? and then he walked away. The more I thought about it, the more confused I became. My boyfriend never did anything wrong and we've enjoyed some really great moments together. But at the same time, by staying with him, it means that we would be poor forever. I know I sound really shallow right now but I'm really thinking about dumping him. What should I do?
