Were the lives of Canadians improved after WWI?
I would say that the lives of Canadians as a whole improved. Canada proved themselves in World War 1 as being brave, honourable. Example is the battle of paschendale. So Canada now had a good reputation around the world. But as for the families back home it wasnt good. The soldiers after the war had to wait 1-2 years before getting on a ship and returning to Canada. Think of the number of soldiers that died. So families were ripped apart. Also women took an active role in WW1 but when the men returned, the womens jobs were taken over by men. Therefore inequality.
