Where can I get a pet Sugar Glider on long island?

I really want a pet sugar glider but I don't know where to get one on long island. And I really don't want to get one online because my common sense says that the poor thing would die from the stress of the plane ride before it even got here and i'm not really a supporter of animal sadism. The names of any stores at all the sell them or if anyone is giving some away would be awesome. Thanks!
